Taylah was nominated Homecoming Princess for her Junior year at Loara High. She was surprised at the nomination, but most of us were not. When she told her Mom and I that she was gonna have her brother walk her on to the field, we nearly lost it. It was a gesture that made us very happy and proud. My little girl is graduating 8th grade on May 29th. This is a big step in her young life, and she has made her Mom and I very proud. Taylah will graduate St. Justin Martyr School with Honors. This year we decided to put up our artifical tree that we purchsed at one of those after-christmas sales at Target. As you can see it's quite impressive, however, it lacks the pine smell that makes it official. Daniel Henry Garcia left this world to soon at the tender age of 13. He is survived by his parents Nancy and Tony and siblings Anthony, Salina, Krystal, and Tiffany.Daniel fought brain cancer for the better part of his life, and for sometime he looked like he was going to beat it. I decided to migrate my extensive collection of web-sized photos from Flickr to Picasa. There are a few reasons I made this change...1) Flickr is owned by Yahoo and since CEO Jerry Yang stepped down, the Yahoo stock is dropping faster than the US dollar.2) I own the G1 Google phone which has a killer app called Pictorial that manages Picasa albums with ease.3) What if Flickr sinks with Yahoo?

It’s the first movie to be completely developed for 3D, instead of just converted to 3D in a post production process. Its something that needs to be experienced to be believed. Can't wait for this one, as I love 3D movies...

In desperate need of a new cell service, I made the switch over to T-Mobile.I can finally send/receive calls at my house! What a bizzare concept...anyways, I was equally excited to get the new G1 phone w/ the Google Android OS. I like the idea of an open source operating system, not the elitist, locked-down format of iPhone. If I have time, who knows, maybe I'll build my own app for this phone

The Dark Knight is gonna be great. The early reviews have this being an Oscar worthy picture. The Lakers postseason is over. Actually, it ended Game 1 of the NBA Finals. That game showed that we didn't stand a chance against a hungrier, tougher, more disciplined team. I won't say their name because we don't mention those leprechauns on this blog. As a lifelong Laker fan, it is a hard pill to swallow. So hard in fact, that I refused to watch the last five minutes of the fourth quarter.

Ethan graduated from a Tiger Cub to a Wolf Cub at the Boy Scout graduation at O'neill Park. Part of the ceremony is to roar like a Tiger and show that you are old enough to move on to Wolf. Once again, we captured the Tournament of Champions District 46 Title. The last time we took home this trophy was in 2005. The Breakers beat the Silver Bullets 10-0 behind great pitching by Jordan, and Taylah's timely hitting from the lead-off spot. Congrats girls, see you at All-Stars in July!

A little retro D&D for all my nerdy friends out there...These books really take me back to my childhood. I recall drawing the covers and characters of these books during and after school. Monster Manual was our favorite because the first edition was famous for the sultry portrayals of its female monsters, such as the succubus and Type V demons. As a prepubescent boy, this was fantastic!
